of the photography of landscape images For many years my time was occupied as a professional wedding and portrait photographer. I qualified with the Master Photographers Association and won several awards in the area of wedding and portrait photography. I then turned my interests to landscape photography concentrating of the areas of the north of England especially the lake district in Cumbria - Lancashire and Yorkshire.. Having spent most of my life in the south of England I moved north in order to pursue landscape photography further. The north of England - contrary to many beliefs is one of the most beautiful areas in England. The outstanding beauty of the lake district is unsurpassed anywhere in the UK with its wild rugged mountains, beautiful lakes, hidden tarns ,tumbling water falls and gently flowing streams.Lancashire and Yorkshire have their own merits with many places of interest and outstanding beauty.Rolling hills, streams snaking their way quietly through hidden valleys, the wild open moors, rugged natural rock formations like Bringham rocks and limestone formations such as Malham Cove.Beautiful coast lines with hidden coves and mile upon mile of sandy beaches and inland there are many interesting castles and abbeys. In many areas the opportunity of more than one image presents itself and therefore there are sometimes several images from the same location with different view points. such a place is brimham rocks The site now reflects the beauty of the north and regular updates are to be added.
